Pain

This is probably going to be my last post with blogspot. I will probably be moving my blog to someplace where I can password code certain entries so that at least there is some samblance of privacy.

Anyways, I just realized today how far I have come in cycling. I now can appreciate how some of the professional cyclist feels when they are pushing up the hill, heart pounding, legs screaming.

Each moring at 5.15am I wake up. I take a quick shower and I leave the house.
5.30am - Leave the house and head for Mt Faber
6.00am - Reach the foot of Mt Faber at the Condo Side (3km point)
6.12am- Finish first round of Mt Faber, back at the foot of Condo Side (8km)
6.24am - Finish 2nd round of Mt Faber, back at the foot of Condo Side (13km)
6.36am - Finish 3rd round of Mt Faber, back at the foot of Condo Side (18km)
6.48am - Finish 4th round of Mt Faber, back at the foot of Condo Side (23km)
7.00am - Finish 5th round of Mt Faber, back at the foot of Condo Side (28km)
7.15am - Finish 6th round of Mt Faber, down at Telok Blangah road side. (33km)
7.22am- Reach the innner part of Labador park (35.5km)
7.30am - Back at the foot of Faber, Telok Blangah Side (38km)
7.40am - Reach below the flyover of AYE (40km)
7.50am - Shenton way (42km)
8.00am - Fullerton Hotel (44km)
8.10am - Nicol Highway (46km)
8.15am - National Stadium Mc Donalds (48km)
8.20 am - East Coast Park (50km)
8.30 am - Shenton way (60km)

So that is 60km in the morning. Than in the evenings, I trace a almost similar route.

7pm - Leave office
8pm - Telok Blangah side of faber Foot (Pender Road) (15km)
8.10pm - To labador park and back at foot (20km)
8.15pm - Foot of Faber Condo Side (22km)
8.20pm - Up faber and down the other side, Telok Blangah side of faber Foot (Pender Road) (25km)
8.30pm - Another Loop at Labador park and back at Foot of Faber at Pender (30km)
8.40pm - Round 1 up Faber via Pender Road Side (33.2km)
8.50pm - Round 2 up Faber via Pender Road Side (36.4km)
9.00pm - Round 3 up Faber via Pender Road Side (39.6km)
9.10pm - Round 4 up Faber via Pender Road Side (42.8km)
9.20pm - Round 5 up Faber via Pender Road Side (46km)
9.30pm - Round 6 up Faber via Pender Road Side (49.2km)
9.40pm - Round 7 up Faber via Pender Road Side (52.4km)
9.50pm - Round 8 up Faber via Pender Road Side (55.6km)
10.00pm - Round 9 up Faber via Pender Road Side (58.8km)
10.15pm - Cycle via Telok Blangha Road towards revolving rest (60km)
10.30pm - Reach Home. (65km)

So daily clock is approx 125km. It might not seem much to some people, but I do this every day. Over 5 days, it works out to be 625km. At the 600km point, the body starts to break down. Just like this morning. But the one thing i realized is that when the body is fatigued, somehow, there is this blank phase that you would go through. At a certain point, my mind just shuts out the pain and I am able to paddle much faster. Have any one noticed that?

Anyways, I do not know how much longer I will last. I eat shit loads now, and yet I still lose weight. I am about 68kg 69kg now, that works out to be a BMI of approx 20.9, so in a sense I guess I am still healthy.

Fat Cat

Today I want to introduce the blogging world and the rest of Singapore to the fatest cat that I have ever seen. Please meet the resident cat of The Bike Boutique.

This is the BB cat sitting and looking while Lynten works on my bike.

Sitting at the Bike Boutique Door Looking out waiting for customers.

And here she is again laying down waiting to be petted.

But seriously, although she is fat and heavy she is really cute and I can tell you she gets more attention from the female customers than Lynten. Heh.

2 room flats a refuge for the needy

Today I realized that the needy in singapore owns 60 inch big screens TV.

"Hey, zheng hu, can let me downgrade? I need money to buy that big screen TV that I saw in Harvy Norman so that when I watch Prono, the breast appear bigger!"

"Hey gahmen, I am the needy too, I NEED that 100 inch plasma TV, I NEED that lamborgini, I NEED that new X box 360, I NEED the apple mac pro computer, I NEED to buy my wife that gucci dress ... etc etc etc I got so many NEEDSSSSSS.. "

Btw to the uncle and auntie in the picture, you mind if i pop over for the world cup? I am sure your 60 inch big screen will show Michael Owen in all his splendor when he scores against others. P.S I will bring beer and Pringles potato chips.

5 months into my journey to recover my fitness

Today I can offically say I am 5 months into my journey to recover my fitness.

Technically, I am right now only at 70% of my peak fitness.

Average speed: 21km/hr -> 30km/hr+++
Distance Covered Daily: 26km -> 100km
Hill Distance Covered daily: 1.5km -> 15km
Weight:99.8kg -> 78kg
BMI: 30.8 -> 24.1

Now, targets!

Average speed: 40km/hr ++
Distance Covered Daily: 150km (morning 50km, evening 100km)
Hill Distance Covered daily: 22.5km (15 rounds of Mt Faber)
Weight: 60kg
BMI: 18.5

So there you go. This is what I need to achive to be back at 95%. I need to hit this target by 1st June this year. That is in 5 months time. Essentially I need to lose 4kg a month, or 1kg a week. Essentially I still got a lot of fats to burn from my own assessment.

Torso: Lose another 10kg
Arms: Lose another 4kg
Legs: Lose another 6kg

So that will be a total of 20kg. Just nice.

Poll: Which is better: Sex or Cycling?

Well, I say both. Why not do both at the same time and have double the fun?

:)
